Bungalow (circa 1960's) Re-development & Extension

Re-development of 1960's bungalow.
Original ground floor storey retained, cottage storey added to entirety and 2 storey rear extension added.

Construction consists of existing ground floor re-constituted stone block-work, with new spray applied lime render.
The new cottage storey is constructed from light-weight, thermally performant, stick-built timber frame finished with a combination of torched Siberian Larch or Accoya modified timber cladding, spray applied lime-render and roofs in patinated wrap-over Zinc (to new 2 storey rear extension) and Welsh slate.

Clear sight-lines from the front of the property through to the rear are incorporated into the design on both ground and first floor.
The ground floor gable of 2 storey rear extension is oriented off-axis to take advantage of the aspect of the 2.7 acre field and subsequent farmland to the rear of the property.
